Avid BB7 Mechanicals

Postby Yeti Freddie on Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:32 am

I still have mine on the Turner (but, probably not much longer).
Anyway, they have become VERY grabby. They seem to be full on or nothing.
I can't tell you how many times I've locked up the rear wheel because of this.
Any one else have this problem :?: If so, how did you fix it?

Mark

It is mostlikely the metal sintered pads that are grabby
I have them on my juicys 7 and they are very grabby

One of the mountain bike mags had something the Juicy Ultimates
and they said to either change them to the organic compound pads
or to put a combination metal pad and organic in each caliper
that way you will get half and half.

the only problem with that is the pads will not wear evenly and you have to
keep an eye out on them.

I have the organics on my ultimates and they are alot less grabby
